Paul V. Martin was born in Ottawa, Illinois. He received his B.S. degree in management at Northern Illinois University prior to obtaining his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

With a strong background in the insurance industry, Paul is a knowledgeable and creative trial lawyer in the field of personal injury law. As well as being an experienced litigator in the trial courts, Paul has also argued cases before the Third District Appellate Court of Illinois and the Supreme Court of Illinois.

Paul is a former Board Member and past President of the Ottawa United Way, past Chairman of the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Ottawa Jaycees, and former board member and past president of Ottawa Elementary School District #141.

Paul, who served on The Supreme Court Committee on Professional Responsibility from 2006 to 2015, is currently a member of The Illinois State Bar Association and The Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.

He is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois.
